Open meeting: the future of cycling on Hayling

We’ll be meeting in the Bowls club room in the Community Centre at 7.30pm on Thursday 7th November. Please come along if you can make it.

More details here.

Saltmarsh Lane cycle path

Cycle Hayling took over this project after we raised CIL (the levy on housing development) money for Havant Borough Council to do it, but they said costs had risen and they couldn’t go ahead. We’re still awaiting final permission from Hampshire County Council Countryside Services, and we need to raise some more money to get a smooth, all-weather surface, but we’re still hoping to start in February / March 2020, before the bird nesting season.

New cycle-commuting article

Thank you if you responded to our cycle-commuting survey. We’ve used your responses in a new article aimed at people considering cycle commuting from Hayling. You can read it here.

It’s not too late to contribute your views (or add to a previous response). You can do that here.

Hayling Herald article for November

If you didn’t get the first edition of the Herald posted through your door – you can see a copy online here. Contact the editor if you’d like to volunteer to help deliver future editions.

Happy Cycling!
